MCA supports organisational cyber-maturity through delivery of information security audit services, an exercise aimed at discovering system weaknesses which could otherwise be exploited by hackers and bad actors. Through this exercise, an organisation is able to gain better insights into their security posture and make necessary improvements to avoid attacks, improve on compliance and present themselves to clients as a cyber-mature entity.

This training is designed for Executives to;
● Demystify cybersecurity through an easy-to-understand, jargon-free training
● Guide executives through the basics of cybersecurity and how they can have easy conversations with technical staff and service providers.
● Explore business opportunities in cybersecurity and how the organisation can better position themselves.
● Understand how to better align MUA Uganda vision to fit in the 4th industrial revolution, the digital age.

Course Outline

This training covers some of the most pertinent issues in management;

1. Cybersecurity Is A Business Risk Not an IT Risk (2 Hours)
This module helps you to appreciate from which position you should address cybersecurity. Whereas it has been the norm that cybersecurity is observed as a technical issue, we help you understand why cybersecurity is a business imperative and that for an organisation to attain full maturity, it should be treated as such.

2. Cyber Espionage (1 Hour)
This module exposes you to the growing trends of cyber-espionage. You are shown how unsuspecting organisations are losing millions to hackers and competing industry players through espionage.

3. Managing Risks (3 Hours)
This module delves deep into cyber-risks and exposes you to some critical questions;
● Who owns risks in my business?
● What are my risks?
● Are my untrained staffs a risk to my business?
● How do I deal with technical and human risks?
This module also captures critical issues on how to measure risks, assign costs and gain better insights from a quantified risk.

4. How much “cybersecurity” do I need? – Building Strategy (4)
This module takes you into strategic development; How much cybersecurity do I need to “feel” secure, what kind of directions should we take as an organisation in the wake of the 4th industrial revolution.

5. Change Management (3 Hours)
Whereas it’s “no brainer” that good security practices is key to the overall resilience of an organisation in the face of an attempted attack, getting your teams to actually comply with these critical issues can be back-breaking. This change management module walks you through some critical and useful tips on how to get a buy-in from your staffs and subsequently make cybersecurity everyone’s concern. Key issues discussed are;
● Why managing change is important
● What is impacted by change
● Change management and internal controls
● The Touhil change management process
● Do you have a Plan B, Plan C and maybe Plan D?
● Best practices in change management.

This training is designed for Executives to;
● Demystify cybersecurity through an easy-to-understand, jargon-free training
● Guide executives through the basics of cybersecurity and how they can have easy conversations with technical staff and service providers.
● Explore business opportunities in cybersecurity and how the organisation can better position themselves.
● Understand how to better align MUA Uganda vision to fit in the 4th industrial revolution, the digital age.
