About MCA

WHO WE ARE

Milima Cyber Academy is Uganda’s top tier cyber-security and digital forensics academy supporting young professionals to gain practical and hands-on skills.
While running a cyber security consultancy firm Milima Security, Emmanuel Chagara (Founder) and the team experienced immense difficulty finding the right talent and building security teams ahead of client projects. According to a 2018 Africa Cyber-security Report (Ugandan Edition), launched by Serianu, Uganda is reported to have approximately 400 information security experts in the country. Based on this, Emmanuel Chagara and his team embarked on a mission to build a community of dependable, practical, and ethical information security experts for Uganda and Africa, The Academy was launched on 11th February 2019.

We have successfully developed functional curriculum with three things in mind;
1. Bridging the cyber-security skills gap
2. Supporting more women participation in the information security domain
3. Bridging the academia-industry knowledge gap.

A center of excellence and leadership in the educational, professional, and research fields of cybersecurity at a local, regional and global level.

To develop and equip young professionals with ethical and practical capabilities in cybersecurity and digital forensics investigations to effectively respond to the emerging cyber-threats in the wake of global digitization.

To provide professional and practical skills to individuals and businesses in different aspects of cyber-security.
To be Uganda’s one-stop source for all high-value certifications and courses in cyber-security.
To create a more resilient cyber-secure environment by providing organizations with specialized professionals.
