ORGANIZATIONAL CONTEXT
Milima Cyber Academy is Uganda’s top-tier cybersecurity and digital forensics academy supporting young professionals to gain practical and hands-on skills.
According to the 2018 Africa Cyber-security Report (Ugandan Edition), launched by Serianu, Uganda is reported to have approximately 400 information security experts in the country. Based on this, the academy embarked on a mission to build a community of dependable, practical, and ethical information security experts for Uganda and Africa. The Academy was launched on 11th February 2019.
We have successfully developed a functional curriculum with three things in mind;
1. Bridging the cybersecurity skills gap.
2. Supporting more women’s participation in the information security domain.
3. Bridging the academia-industry knowledge gap.
JOB DESCRIPTION

The Sales & Partnerships Officer at Milima Cyber Academy will drive student enrollments
and promote cybersecurity training programs through proactive lead generation, consultative
selling, and relationship-building. The role requires meeting sales targets while maintaining
strong client engagement.
∙Identify and engage potential students and corporate clients through cold calling,
networking, and digital channels.
∙Conduct needs assessments and recommend suitable cybersecurity courses.
∙Guide prospects through enrollment, ensuring high conversion rates.
∙Maintain relationships with students and corporate partners for retention and referrals.
∙Monitor market trends and competitor offerings to refine sales strategies.
∙Track and report sales performance against targets.
∙Represent Milima at industry events and networking opportunities
∙Proven sales experience, preferably in education, tech, or training sectors.
∙3+ years in sales/business development (edtech/tech training preferred)
∙Proven success in both B2B partnerships and B2C sales
∙Strong negotiation and relationship management skills
∙Tech-savvy with knowledge of cybersecurity trends
∙Strong communication, negotiation, and persuasion skills.
∙Self-motivated, target-driven, excellent communicator, and comfortable using CRM
∙Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, or related field (preferred but not required).
